About Me
My name is Eric Mann, and I’m a marketing consultant in Oregon in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I help organizations and individuals define themselves, understand their customers, and define their brands to better fit both stakeholder groups. By doing so, companies can maintain higher sales, member organizations can grow, and everyone can accomplish their goals more easily and more effectively.
In short, I connect you with your perfect customer.
My Background
I am a native Oregonian, having grown up just outside of Portland. I attended both the University of Oregon in Eugene and Portland State University, collecting a total of three degrees. My first interest was physics, but I soon discovered how little I had in common with the scientific research community and shifted my focus to math. Mathematicians were no more my type than physicists, so I changed gears completely and returned to the University of Oregon for a year of post-bacc study and second bachelor’s degree. I studied political science to gain more insight into why people behaved as they did and to gain the tools necessary to predict opinion and behavior.
The following summer brought me back to Portland for graduate school in the Master of International Management program. My love for understanding people and their motivations led me to study marketing. The subfield of branding was still relatively unexplored, so I focused my efforts there and have been working as a marketing and branding strategy consultant ever since. Through branding, I plan to shake up the world of business and change the way companies and individuals work together.
